Dr. Loyd Now Affiliate Faculty at the Presley Center
Dr. Aerika Loyd is now an affiliate of the Robert Presley Center of Crime and Justice Studies at UCR.
The Presley Center was established by the California State Legislature in 1994, and strives to be a regional and statewide leader in criminal justice and criminological research. One of the primary goals of the Center is to compile and disseminate research to policymakers, practitioners, and community stakeholders to inform best practices and improve public safety.
Dr. Loyd’s previous work on the experience of diverse youth involved in juvenile justice will continue to lend critical insight to best institutional practices, particularly within a positive youth development framework.
Dr. Loyd joins an interdisciplinary network of researchers at the Center who are experts in criminal justice issues in disciplines ranging from psychology, sociology, political science, economics, philosophy, public policy, and law.
