YHD Lab in Panama! Presenting at the SRCD Anti-Racist Summit 2024

Members from the lab presented the project titled “The Psychological Clash Between Identities: Does Civic Agency and Critical Reflection Vary Across Identity Intersections?” (Psychological Clash) at the inaugural Society for Research in Child Development (SRCD) Anti-Racist summit in Panama. The SRCD Anti-Racist Summit focused on bringing developmental researchers together to address racial equity and justice issues in developmental science. The Psychological Clash project is about dismantling oppressive social structures while motivating individuals to engage in civic agency. Interestingly, this was Chelsea’s and Tate’s first time in Panama, and they presented right behind one of the main scholars they cited throughout their work, the day of their presentation!
